Picture a friend talking to you if you could be her maid of honor on her wedding day next month. You’re ecstatic, but deep inside you scream, “Oh No!” Are you ready to rock a sparkly outfit or costume? Are you comfortable enough with your body? If your answer is a mix of yes and no. Now might be the right time to shed those love handles and prepare a rocking body for the next month.
Losing 10 pounds is a helpful way to prepare you for the wonderful months of celebration. Instead of hiding and waiting for that dreadful day, try these 10 easy steps on how to lose 10 pounds within a month or two.
1. Let me introduce you to the two Ds.
Discipline and Determination. This might be simple and often missed out but it is a necessity to stay committed. Have the Discipline to push you to exercise and to say NO to unhealthy food. Determination is an additive in staying with your goal. Remember that you have a time-frame here.

Start literally by walking. Nothing will hurt if you try. If It’s your first time, then walking is very suitable for you. Do this for duration of a week and you may pace yourself to brisk walking, until you've trained yourself to jog. The longer and consistent you are, the more you’ll notice a drive within you. Always remember to consult your doctor first prior to any activity plan.

If you’re not much of a J.Lo dancing type, you can enroll for a gym class. You get to meet a lot of people who will motivate you. You can also purchase or search in the web about instructional exercise program which you can do indoors. There are tons.

Revitalize yourself with water prior to any work-out or exercise. Sometimes being dehydrated urges us to eat more. When in fact in the first place we are just thirsty.

Instead of starving yourself. Tell it to eat healthy by managing what you eat. Replace unhealthy ones like junk foods and too many sweets with fruit and nuts. Watching what you eat is a key as well.If you’re hungry eat, never starve yourself. In this way you’re more prone to binging.

Try to keep track of your weight once a week. Let’s get that weighing scale moving to a more positive you. From this, you’ll be knowledgeable if you’re losing rather than gaining. If you’re gaining, there might be something wrong with what you eat and what your activities are. Look back and work on it.

Excess salt in the body results into water retention. This water retention makes you appear heavy and bloated. Feeling puffy is the last thing that you would want when going through an exercise. A beauty queen which is a friend of mine can vouch for this.

Reconnect with friends whose in the same path as you. Brisk walking in the park while sharing stories with a friend will increase your determination and track too. Having someone to support you in your undertaking is a great way to shake off those pounds.

Last tip is finding a time to do all these things. The only person that can prohibit you from losing 10 pounds within a month is yourself. Remember the first 2Ds.

Losing 10 pounds within one month is indeed hard. But with your dedication, I don’t see any reason why you can’t. The key is to take things slowly with consistency. Avoid weight loss that tortures you and promise to make you lose pounds rapidly. These programs might not be safe and unhealthy. Be happy with what you do. And always remember there is a thing called losing weight gracefully. Have fun while bidding goodbyes to those extra pounds.
