Beauty Nuggets: The nail polish story.

Let me share to you a nail polish story:

I was so happy that I was able to paint my nails again. As I was drying them, my daughter sleeping in the bed turned. I prayed please don't wake up just yet my nails are still wet.( First world problems lol). Every time she wakes up, she would look for me and if she can't feel my stretch marks, she would cry. Yes, My daughter feels them with her eyes close every night just to ensure that I am beside her every time she sleeps ( the beauty of stretch marks ladies).But just before my nail polish set, I felt her diaper. And it is already full. I hate full diapers.Without thinking twice, I replaced it immediately and throw the used diaper. My nails were ruined but I did not even mind. I will just repaint them if I will have the chance (fingers crossed).

Real deal;

As February enters 2015, too many people were occupied on how to please their girlfriends and boyfriends, friends or partner of any sort on the day of hearts. It is still February 1 and yet you can notice that love is in the air ( REALLY!). The flowers, chocolates, cards and even cupcakes are making a jolly noise in the stores and social media. Reservations on hotel and restaurants were made as well.

Are you set for the Valentines day?. I am pretty sure that you will have a great time, single or not. Amidst to all of this, the reason of the mom story in the intro is a reminder of selfless a mother can offer. You know how frustrating some nail polishes are, right?. Some will take so long to dry, ugh!

This coming Valentines day,before you go crazy looking for a perfect gift for your boyfriend, give your mom time and love. If not for them, we will never be in this Earth. They would always look for the welfare of their children first before their own. Personally, my mom was the first person who taught me how to LOVE. This heart month, take some time to reflect about your relationship with your mother. Find time to pamper her or send some loving card. Cheer her up not only this month. Trust me, you will feel light, satisfied and ready to rock the rest of the hearts day!

Chicfit: How I lose 1 kilogram in three days.

Since its the New Year let me jumpstart this year with another Chicfit series post. With all the eating and drinking during the holidays, I must admit that I gained again my love handles back.( They must have missed me!cuddles). Before Christmas, I was maintaining a weight of fifty three-fifty four kilograms. After Christmas and New year's Eve, I am now up to fifty eight. The girls in Facebook and twitter were also whining about their weight gain through the holidays and yes, our new years resolution about losing weight last year is the same as this year. ( I can totally relate TBH). My friends and I figured out to weigh ourselves every Friday and see if we can lose some weight all through out the rest of the week. After Friday, I was so upset about the weight gain that I decided to try out the WATER THERAPY.

Basically, you just drink 3 liters of water three days straight along with your food. There is no special diet on this one,you just have to add more water in your system.I started to drink water Saturday morning and continue until Monday. I know that drinking water is not my style but I can't believe that it really works. If you are struggling in finishing 3 L of plain, unflavored and tasteless water, these tips might be helpful.

1. Drink water right after you wake-up.

Morning is the time we are really thirsty and we have this metallic taste in our mouths.It doesn't need to be a chore but a lifestyle instead. If you make this a routine like getting up and chugging huge amount of water, you don't have to constantly remind yourself about this.

2. Put some lemon or mint leaves.

Lemons are expensive here in the Philippines, so I make do with Calamansi (Small type of lime found here in our country). I peel it and let it set in my water for an hour and drink it. This is for people who want a little bit of taste in their water.

3.Always bring the water container with you.

Whether you are walking the dog or going to office, bring the water with you. You can reach for it anytime of the day and before you knew it, it's already consumed. When I watched TV and youtube, I reached for it and I get overjoyed refilling it again.

Water re-hydrates your system keeping you out from snacking. You might think that you are hungry even after lunch but your body is just aching for some water.It also makes you fuller preventing you from stuffing more carbs and empty calories.It also flushes out toxins and stops you from retaining water into your body which adds to your overall weight. By the way, I weighed myself Monday afternoon at work, and yes, I lose 1 kilogram. I am now down to fifty six.Maybe it was the retained fluid in my system, I'm not quite sure but at least I had a positive result. This was based on my experience alone and I haven't done it without much research. Comment down below if you have tried it and what were your feelings about it.

Sulitpinay Review:The Ultimate foundation

I'll start my new blog post with the foundation I fell in love with for a couple of months.

What I am talking about is the all time MARY KAY TIMEWISE MATTE WEAR FOUNDATION. Some of you may be familiar with the MARY KAY brand because it had been existing for so many years now.The best-selling product they have is their matte wear foundation. MARY KAY has an array of beauty products from skin care, make-up to perfumes. ( Their perfume smells really good!).

THE PACKAGING

> The product is in a tube form, which has a twist-able black cap.Which I think is a very typical packaging for a beauty product. It has 29 ml with the price of 785.00 pesos.It is small enough to fit into your purse for touch ups.You can buy this through a MARY KAY beauty consultant.It has five shades depending on your skin.

THE SMELL

>It has an ink-like smell which is another typical of all foundations. It has a subtle smell and can never be bothersome when applied unto the face.

THE APPLICATION

>Being a liquid foundation, it applied smoothly and flawlessly. It dries up very fast and may I suggest that you work with it very fast as well to avoid uneven face. This is because when it dries it may be -difficult to blend into your face. It promises a matte finish that is why it dries very fast.I personally doesn't view this as a con TBH.

AFTER APPLICATION

> The foundation performs really good. It gives the illusion of a flawless face. I didn't put any setting powder after applying because of its matte finish.Its very blend-able with medium to full coverage.

That is the Mary Kay timewise matte wear foundation. You guys know I have oily skin and very acne prone skin. It took 2 hours for me to take notice of the oiliness that I have on my skin which is good, Don't fret because you only need to use blotting sheet and tap on some powder, I used the Johnsons baby powder which I had on my purse. My mother uses this one in a long while and I didn't mind using it at first. But when I tried it for myself, It blew me away.The coverage is amazing. It is also very lightweight for the full coverage that it offers.

For me, it is a sulitpinay YES. It has a great coverage and very blendable It only requires a pea size amount which could really lasts you for 6 months up to 1 year. Isn't it amazing?. Think of buying a foundation that don't deliver the results that you wanted and you kept on repurchasing another inexpensive product. In total you might have spent that 785 pesos, that you could have spent on this moneys-worth product.

If you are looking for a new foundation, you might want to start with this product. I use this foundation everyday and I never got tired. Another Bonus is that it belonged to the time wise collection, which has anti-aging properties in them. I don't know about you, but if it looks good on the skin and gives you multi-benefits. I would definitely dig this.=)
